Our Ministries

The purpose of our church is to bring people to Jesus and into membership in his family, build them up into maturity, train them for ministry, send them out in mission, in order to magnify God. Our goals for children are the same, which we accomplish through various children's ministries.

Nursery

The purpose of our Nursery is to provide quality care and supervision for infants and children less than two years of age during Sunday services. This gives parents the opportunity to enjoy a worship service.

Kid's Connection

The purpose of our Sunday school is to disciple Christians of all ages through age-graded Christian education beginning with children:

• Nursery for infants and children up to two years of age
   
• Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten for children ages 3-Kindergarten
   
• Grades 1-3
   
• Grades 4-5

Awana

The purpose of our Awana club program is to reach kids for Christ and train them to serve God. The Awana acronym stands for "approved workmen are not ashamed." We offer three clubs geared to the needs of a particular age or grade:

• Cubbies are preschool boys and girls, ages 3-5.
   
• Sparks are boys and girls in kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade.
   
• Truth & Training (T&T) are boys and girls in 3rd through 6th grade.

Club activities include handbook time, teaching time, and game time. Awana meets during the school year on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School

The purpose of our Vacation Bible School is to provide a week-long outreach and discipling event for kids age 3 through 6th grade.

The purpose of our youth ministry program is to bring youth to Christ, bring youth up in Christ and send youth out for Christ. Our motto of "Learning to follow so we can lead" is taken straight from Matthew 4:19

Our ministry philosophy aligns to our purpose and is based on Matthew 28:19-20:  winning youth to Christ, building youth up in Christ and equipping youth to serve Christ.

Our program consists of:

Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 p.m.

• Whole Group Meeting - The entire Senior High and Junior High have a separate Bible Study every other week. Senior High and Junior High meet together for announcements and worship.
• Small Groups - Small group Bible Study and Accountability Groups meet every other week, opposite the whole group nights. The groups have between 4 and 9 people in them. Everyone meets together for worship and announcements. Then the groups divide. The guys and girls meet separately and the Senior High and Junior High meet separately.

Bible Quizzing, Thursday Evening at 6:00 p.m.

Sunday Mornings

• Sunday School - There are separate classes for Senior High and Junior High.
• Ministry Team Training Meetings

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM we provide a Bible study for our young adults. Once a month we meet for lunch as a chance to hang out and fellowship together.

We also provide transportation from both Bethel University and Northwestern College. The scheduled pick up times can be found here.

Our Sunday Morning Communities are broken down by age groups. The different groups and their age ranges are:

• College (ages 18-22)
• Young Adult (ages 23-32)
• No Name Group (ages 33-48) 
• Halftime Hopefuls (ages 49-64)
• Forever Young (ages 65 or over)

PLEASE NOTE:  Each person is invited to join a class wherever he/she feels comfortable and especially so if you are on the far ends of an age category. These are not "set in stone" categories by any means!

Forever Young is a group of seniors ages 65+ at Rose Hill who love to get together for fellowship and various special events. Throughout the year the seniors enjoy special music that is brought in, bus trips, volunteering at the Christmas Child warehouse, or walking at the mall. We have an active group who have a passion for others as well as sharing their faith.

As important as public worship is, it doesn't allow for intimacy. Reading the Bible and praying by oneself, on the other hand, can lead to intimacy with God, but it can also lead to loneliness. Small groups offer supportive Bible study and intimate prayer in the fellowship of others.

What is the purpose of Small Groups?

• Discipleship by helping believers grow spiritually - through caring relationships, support, prayer, encouragement, Bible application, and a place for practicing many of the "one another" commands.
• Fellowship by caring for each other and building relationships that will last for eternity, and through growing together in the word of God.
• Evangelism by welcoming newcomers and, if they don't know Jesus, believing that the love of God through the small group will enable them to come into a personal relationship with Christ.

Small groups are a growing edge of our congregation. We have groups for men, women, young adults, and married couples. Contact any of our pastors for more information on a small group that best meets your needs.

The objective of the Men's Fellowship group is two-fold:

1) To provide an outlet for men to know each other better so that they may trust, respect, and share with each other

2) To provide an outlet to what Jesus Christ means in our lives

We try to maintain a balanced number of activities so that all men may participate in some or all of them. We are always open to suggestions on how we can be more effective in what we do.

Our Japanese congregation worships in Japanese here at Rose Hill Alliance Church with a video message from Pastor T. Ohkawa. Pastor Ohkawa is a senior pastor of the Yamato Calvery Chapel which is an independent Biblical Prostestan church in Japan. Our motto is Cheerful, Vigorous, and Free in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

NOTE: The Japanese congregration joins the Rose Hill congregation on the first Sunday of every month to celebrate Communion together.
