Children's Ministries |

| A Place for Kids to Go & Grow | |||||||||||||||||||
| As a parent, you have the greatest impact on
your child's life. It is the hardest job in the world - but also the most
important. We want God to bless all your efforts to raise happy, successful
children. And we want to help. We're here to help support your parenting
efforts at home with Bible -based, age - appropriate training for your children. The purpose of our church is to bring people to Jesus and into membership in his family, build them up into maturity, train them for ministry, send them out in mission, in order to magnify God. Our goals for children are the same, which we accomplish through various children's ministries. |

Awana | ||||||||||||||||||
| The purpose of our Sunday school is to disciple
Christians of all ages through age-graded Christian education beginning
with children:
We also provide Sunday school for Junior High (Grades 6-8), Senior High (Grades 9-12), and young adults as well as adult classes in ACTS 29, the Adult Christian Training School. |
The purpose of our Awana club program is to reach
kids for Christ and train them to serve God. The Awana acronym stands for
"approved workmen are not ashamed." We offer three clubs geared
to the needs of a particular age or grade:
Club activities include handbook time, teaching time, and game time. Awana meets during the school year on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m. (Cubbies meet 6:30-7:45 p.m.) |

We dismiss children at the beginning of the pastor's sermon during the second worship service. | The purpose of our Nursery is to provide quality care and supervision for infants and children less than two years of age during Sunday services. This gives parents the opportunity to enjoy a worship service. | The purpose of our Vacation Bible School is to provide a week-long outreach and discipling event for kids age 3 through 6th grade. | |||||||||||||||||
| From Generation to Generation | |||||||||||||||||||
| Parents, teachers, assistants, leaders, workers,
attendants, and helpers - all are needed to make a difference for Christ
in the lives of our children. Volunteers staff our children's ministries.
Leaders coordinate them. And, a Disciple Making Committee supervises them.
A little girl called out, "Mommy, you know that vase in the china cabinet - the one that's been handed down from generation to generation?" "Yes, dear, I know which one you mean. What about it?" "Well, Mommy, I'm sorry, but this generation just dropped it!" Some earthly possessions have sentimental value and to break them is a great loss. But how much more tragic it would be for a generation to "drop it" spiritually - to fail to pass along the godly heritage they have received! That would be an eternal loss. In our children's ministries, we seek to provide a safe environment where families can worship and children can learn about God's saving love for them - to pass on God's truth and love from generation to generation. We maintain this environment in part by policies and procedures that maximize physical, sexual, emotional, and spiritual safety of every child who participates in our church. For that reason, we screen, train, and supervise all our volunteers who work with children and young people. If you are interested in serving, please contact the church office. |
